Copytrade lets you automatically mirror trades from any wallet address. When your target buys or sells, Synthesis executes the same trade on your behalf using your configured settings.

Getting Started

Find a trader to copy

Navigate to any user’s profile or portfolio page.

Click 'Copytrade'

Open the copytrade modal and enter the target wallet address.

Configure your settings

Set your mode, buy/sell preferences, and filters.

Confirm

Click “Setup Copytrade” to start copying trades.

Mode

Choose how you want to follow the target’s trades.
ModeDescription
CopyFollow the same side as the target. If they buy Yes, you buy Yes.
CounterTake the opposite side. If they buy Yes, you buy No.

Buy Settings

Controls what happens when the target buys.

Buys Enabled

Toggle whether buy trades are copied. Disable this if you only want to copy sells.

If Insufficient USDC

What happens when you don’t have enough USDC to match the trade.

Buy maxSpend your remaining balance on the trade.
SkipSkip the trade entirely.

Buy Sizing

Choose how your buy amount is calculated.
TypeDescription
PercentageBuy a percentage of the target’s trade amount. For example, 10% means if they buy 100 USDC, you buy 10 USDC.
FixedBuy a fixed USDC amount on every trade, regardless of the target’s size. Minimum $1.00.
BalanceBuy a percentage of your wallet balance or allocated funds.
When using Balance sizing, select your balance source:
  • Wallet — Percentage is based on your current wallet balance.
  • Allocation — Percentage is based on your allocated funds (see below).

Allocated Funds

Set an optional USDC budget for this copytrade. Once the total is reached, additional buys are skipped.

No limitNo spending cap. Trades continue as long as you have funds.
FixedSet a maximum total USDC to spend on buys for this copytrade.

Sell Settings

Controls what happens when the target sells.

Sells Enabled

Toggle whether sell trades are copied. Disable this if you only want to copy buys.

If Insufficient Shares

What happens when you don’t have enough shares to match the trade.

Sell Sizing

TypeDescription
ProportionalSell the same percentage of your position as the target sold of theirs. If they sell 50% of their position, you sell 50% of yours.
FixedSell a fixed USDC amount on every trade.

Filters

Filters are checked before placing an order. If any filter fails, the trade is skipped.

Max Slippage

Maximum allowed price impact in cents. If the trade would move the price more than this amount, it’s skipped. Valid range: 0.1 - 100 cents.

Trade Amount Range

Only copy trades where the target’s trade amount falls within a USDC range. Set a minimum and/or maximum to filter out trades that are too small or too large.

Price Range

Only copy trades when the market price is within a specified range. Useful for avoiding trades at extreme prices. Valid range: 0.0010.001 - 0.999.

Exposure Limits

Limit your total position value per market and/or per event.

Max per marketMaximum USDC exposure in any single market.
Max per eventMaximum USDC exposure across all markets in an event.

Minimum Time to Resolution

Only copy markets expected to resolve in at least this amount of time. Useful for avoiding last-minute trades on markets about to close. Set in minutes, hours, or days.

Categories

Filter trades by market category. Use Allow to only copy specific categories, or Deny to block specific categories. Available categories:

Managing Copytrades

View and manage your active copytrades from your Portfolio page. You can pause, edit settings, or delete any copytrade at any time.

Fees

A 0.50% fee (50 bps) is charged on all copytrade orders.
